Channel Theatre returns to the Station Arts Centre stage with another heartfelt and humour-filled comedy, Too Close to Home, by Alison Lawrence.

Margaret is enjoying a quiet retirement in the town where she and her late husband spent their summers. Her life is steady and familiar, filled with yoga classes, movie nights, volunteering at the library, and a dependable neighbour always willing to lend a hand. It is a good life. Calm, predictable, and just the way she likes it.

That is, until her daughter arrives in the middle of a mid-life crisis, bringing along her teenage son and turning Margaret’s peaceful world completely upside down. As the household adjusts to its new reality, tensions rise, old wounds resurface, and unexpected connections begin to form under one small roof that can barely contain the chaos.

Too Close to Home is a laugh-filled and poignant exploration of family dynamics, second chances, and the beautiful imperfection of the people we love most. “…a funny, poignant play, with Alison Lawrence’s distinctive humour…” – The Slotkin Letter

Please note that Channel Theatre is using the Station as a venue. Tickets and information can only be bought online through Channel Theatre’s website. This show has rush seating, not assigned seating.
