KATHY THIESSEN ART GALLERY
In recognition of her initiative and dedication to the arts, the Board of Directors named the Station gallery after its 25-year administrator, Kathy Thiessen. A core group of founding members began working with Thiessen in 1986 to make the dream of a community centre for the arts a reality. Thiessen retired in 2010 and continues to enjoy supporting the Station Arts Centre through volunteering, attending concerts, and special events.
The Kathy Thiessen Art Gallery is programmed through an ongoing call for submissions as well as by curated exhibitions. The Station Arts Centre hosts monthly exhibits year round and accepts applications from both professional and emerging artists. We are currently accepting applications for shows into 2024. Please fill out the submission form below if you are interested in having your pieces on display in the Kathy Thiessen Art Gallery.

STATION ARTS SATELLITE GALLERY
Station Arts is celebrating our newest community arts initiative – a gallery in the window of our local grocery store! Like a satellite, this is a smaller gallery that communicates with the larger Station Arts Centre gallery. This new space will feature local, professional and emerging artists’ work in a variety of mediums and styles. It may be used as an extension of a show in the Station or be a space to feature artwork made by youth or in classrooms. This gallery will allow people to engage with visual art more often and make our downtown even more vibrant! Shows in this space will change every month or two in order to bring new perspectives to viewers and keep things interesting. The Station Arts Satellite Gallery is a space to celebrate diversity, creativity and community.
Thanks to Friesen’s Bigway and the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils for supporting this project!
