6-8 hours/week, $17/hour plus tips

About the Station Arts Centre Co-operative:

The Station Arts Centre (SAC) is a not-for-profit centre for visual and performance arts located in Rosthern, SK. We are a cultural and community hub, with exciting programming year-round in our recently renovated facility. Our new café offers a range of locally sourced food options, as well as a craft beer and coffee bar. Our vision is to be a place to gather, learn, celebrate, and build community.

Job Summary:

This position requires knowledge and confidence, with the ability to create consistent, quality food offerings. Duties will include morning food preparation and clean-up.

Job Requirements:

Previous restaurant cooking experience is a must; safe food handling certification; punctual and dependable.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • follow recipes to prepare soups, wrap fillings, salads, and other food offerings
  • clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, dishes and equipment
  • local shopping/ food pick up
  • work efficiently and independently

The cook will work under the guidance of and report to the Cafe Manager. Work will all take place in the Station kitchen. The cafe manager will train the cook to produce established recipes to standard. Ideally, shifts are early to mid-morning on set days.
