In conversation with painter Rolf Krohn and poet David Macknak
Artists Rolf Krohn and David Macknak come together in this exhibit to explore the raven; a powerful symbol in mythology, folklore, literature and art. Ravens are raucous, brassy, inquisitive and unpredictable. They warrant our respect for the place they hold in many cultures and in our own lived experiences. Symbolic of healing and light or ill-omen and death, the raven continues to capture the imagination the world over. Through lively acrylic paintings and poems, these two artists share their explorations and meditations of this often maligned yet magnificent creature.
