When two Filipino nurses arrive in 1960’s small town Saskatchewan - confusion, comedy and romance follow…
This summer the Station is excited to bring a culture clashing comedy to our stage! Prairie Nurse by Marie Beath Badian, directed by Johnna Wright, is about two Filipino nurses who come to work at a small-town Saskatchewan hospital in the late 1960’s. Misunderstandings, personality differences, homesickness, and the amorous but dim-witted goalie from the local hockey team complicate the women’s lives. Based on the true story of her mother’s immigration to Canada, Prairie Nurse is sure to cure what ails you with a healthy dose of laughter!
